My song about Limpy the toad

Limpy the Toad

CHORUS
Limpy was a toad
A jolly good toad he was,
He teamed up with Goliath
To save cane toads from us.

They searched high and low
To get a helping hand,
They would jump around
Running from a man.

CHORUS

They found a girl with a stick
Who saved them from the teens,
After that they became
The super duper team.

CHORUS

Guess who he saved
From the strong hands of harm,
That's right, he saved
His little sister Charm.

CHORUS

He had lots of uncles
Squashed on the roads,
Now in his room
Is a dirty pile of toads.

CHORUS x2

So now you all know
The story of Limpy,
And how he saved the cane toads
From being history!

Imagine a place

Imagine a place where it is so cold you would not be able to wear a singlet, stubbies or jandals.
It also has no local four square that is right around the corner instead there would be the local
rugby ground. You would see at least one old timer everyday, believe me there are heaps more than you would imagine. If you walked into the town it would be much more quiet than Auckland because everyone has turned the volume down on their adams apple. And if you took one deep breath in through your nose you would smell the nearest pub reviewing the all blacks game and having a nice cold beer.

Imagine a Place

I feel the sun beating down on me. I see kids running about jumping in the water. I smell chlorine all the time. I touch boiling hot tiles, the smoothest water. I hear the ping pong ball smashing the table. Ping pong, ping pong. I hear kids jumping in this lovley blue water. I taste lovely smooth air flowing in and out of my mouth. I feel so relaxed and restful.

CH

Imagine a place...

Imagine a place where you can see people, sticks, water and more.A place where you feel free and can do anything you like. You can smell salt and fresh air.You can hear people running around having fun.You can taste the salt water in your mouth and feel the sand oozing through your toes at the beach in Pauanui.
A.D

imagine a place...

Imagine a place that shelters you from wind rain and sun. A place where the smell of every meal fills up every room and every hallway. Where no matter how far away from it you are its always with you. A place where you can hear the yells of younger and older siblings. With the walls and roof towering above you. Where you can feel the open of mums hugs wrapped around you. Imagine a place that you can call home!

A.C

Can you guess where I want to be?

I can just the black scene light's are dimming.

I can smell that smell of pop corn and soda.

I can feel the delicate touch of lazy boy seat's.

I can taste the butter from the pop corn driping down my throat!

I feel excited because I've been waiting all this time for my movie to start

Hey turn that cell phone off!

by L.N!

Imagine a place...

Imagine a place where you can see girls squealing their heads off, loads of water and slides, with the sun beaming down on your face, and oops you forgot to put sunblock on! You can smell saussies cooking on the barbaque, chlorine in the pools, and little kids enjoying their ice creams before it ends up on the floor. You can feel hot sun, nice cool water and the saturated togs against your skin. You can hear splish splosh as the kids play in the water, and thump thump as they go down the slides. You can hear the lick of lollipops, and ice creams, and of course I can hear the sound of birds tweeting. You can taste the sweet flavour of ice creams and the disgusting taste of chlorine in the pool. Now you feel ready to head back after a long day at WET AND WILD!

Mr.R has dark grey hair. his eyes are blue and he is as tall as a rugby post but not as skinny .He has legs long as five toddlers put together .His gender is male and if he stood next to a tree covered in bark he would loook camouflage but if he turned up in a bundle of hay you would never find him .If he wasn't a principal his other occupation would be a comedian because he is funny .

Mr R's eyes are blue like the sky. His hair is grey like the clouds. He is like a giant. Sometimes you may think he is scary and sometimes you may think he is nice. He loves to do sport. Rugby is his best. He also calls me midget. He is probably the loudest person I've ever met, but I still think I'm lucky to have a principal like him.

Mr R

To Mr R

This is honestly how Ithink you look. You are dressed smartly with a tuxedo with a smart tie and grey hair. You are handsome and like to eat. You like to have polished shoes and girls like to hit on you but not all the time. You are hairier than me. You're tall and you make anything look easy. Your eyes are light blue and you would not hurt a fly. You are the best principal and the WHOLE SCHOOL thinks so.

FROM B.J.C

Mr R

Mr R

'Kids hurry up and clean the rubbish." I think you guys know who that is, its our mean old principal Mr R. He has grey hair. He likes to lick his lips a lot. He is the man at sports though and for being about sixty he is good at rugby and soccer. So what do you think of our principal? He can be really really nice but sometimes a bit eh. He can do good stuff like play rounders and just to tell you he has blue eyes and he is a bit fat, yeah he likes his food all right. Even though he is like sixty he still does cricket, basketball, rugby and soccer - he is fit for his age. Over all he is a good principal.
C.H

Mr R

Mr R has gray hair and is very tall. He loves to play rugby and all kinds of sports. He calls us nicknames like Ginger Nut and he gives up his lunch times to help the boys practice soccer, rugby, basketball and cricket and he pushes them really hard but it all pays off. He's the best principal ever.

MR R

"Crash, Bang, pick up that rubbish, clean yourself, go to my office." You guessed, this is our principal Mr R.
He has grey hair and blue eyes. He is sporty and helps out every sports team that he can. Some people think he's rough and can be mean sometimes but not the rugby boys. Mr R comes out every lunch time to help out sports teams. He even comes to basketball in his own time when he doesn't have to. People can think whatever the want about Mr R, but I think he is a great principal. Best of all he has made nicknames for all of us like Chicken Legs, Spike and even Grandma and these are just a few. Some sports he does with us are Soccer, Rugby, Cricket, Basketball, Sports Rotation and Rounders. People can say whatever they want about Mr R
but I think he is a great principal.

C.N.D

Mr R

He's kind caring and very tall. Hes tough as a cucumber and rough as a beaver. He chat chat chats all the time through sport. He believes in every sport team that he coaches. He's strong and calls us heaps of nick names like Shorty, Hosk, Goggle, Chicken Legs and many more. The thing is, he is a good principal. My principal looks like a extinct dinosaur and looks like a tall tree and smells like a angry nanny. My principal is the best in the whole world!!!!!!!!!!

Description of Mr R

Mr R is a sport genius. Without him we would be history! He has wrinkles, hairy legs, grey hair, and is very old! He also makes up the funniest nick names like Chicken Legs, Um, and Noodles. He loves to play loads of sport, as well as being a principal he is also a coach, he is also hilarious! Mr R is very kind and caring just like any person he looks after everyone. He makes us all feel at home.

A sport I like to watch

!Cricket!

I love cricket. To me watching cricket is like being a puppy with two tails. I will always remember my first ever cricket match. I was only 6 years old at Eden Park. It was a twenty20 match, I was so excited. My dad was explaining all he could while I joined in with the chants. I was a know-nothing about cricket at that time and well look at me now, It's as if crickets in my veins ( it kind of is though, all men in my family play and I've inherited it.) I love cricket so much I even have 10 posters of my favourite team in my closet. My favourite team is the BLACKCAPS!

Swimming Lessons!

It was my first day at swimming lessons! I hoped in the pool and Iwas a frozen ice-block.

Then a guy called Ronald bombed into the pool and my skeleton jumped out of my skin!

Then I did a lap in the pool. Then I went on the diving board and I flew into the air!

I fell into the pool like a pile of rocks. When I hit the water it felt like I had landed on concrete

cause I did a belly flop.

The teacher called me to tell time of the lap. I climbed out of the pool like a rock climber,

then I went into the changing room like a soaking wet cat.

When I was changed, Ronald gave me a fright and I got a shiver down my spine that shock the changing rooms down.

When I got home my mum had ants in her pants cause she was worried I would drown in my first swim.

The next day I got up on the wrong side of the bed and fell into the pool like a pile of jelly and swam like a dead fish.

When I got home I had a lot of cookies like I was the Cookie Monster and went bed really tied.

Writers Quiz

On the day of Writers Quiz my heart was exploding with bombs.

Mrs A said, "don't count your chickens before they hatch" because I said "we'll win."

At the compitition RH asked if me cat got my tongue.

CC said "US we are not on the same page right now."

When the competition was finished we were all as happy as a puppy with two tails.

A Bad Day at School

It was Monday the first day of the term, I was hoping for no homework but when I asked the teacher he jumped down my thoart.

After that horrible sight I felt as sick as a dog.

At P.E time we had to run around the field 5 times but I threw in the towel after 2.

I knew trying out for the football team would cost a arm and a leg but mum says I am a jack of all trades so I had to try out.

After that bad day I went home. I was so worried that I had butterflies in my stomach about my mum asking how schoolwas today because I did not want to say it was horrible. When I got home guess what my mum asked me... " How was school today?". I replied, today I jumped out of the frying pan and into the fire.

The Heart

You use your heart every day and every night. It goes beat, beat, beat pumping the blood around your body. Oxygen and carbon dioxide that is being carried by blood first enters the heart through the right and left upper chambers. The tiny cavities get filled with blood and grow. When they contract the blood pushes the flaps of the tricuspid and Mitral Valves open so that the blood can move on to the lower chambers. When the blood is finished in the lower valves the flaps close up so the blood will not flow the wrong way. The two valves that control the blood leaving the lower chambers are called Semilunar Valves. They act in a similar way opening to allow blood to pass into the aorta and the pulmonary artery on the right. Then they close to stop the blood from flowing backwards.
Did you know...
Your heart never rests and its about the size of your fist!
Your heart pumps more than 200 million litres of blood in a lifetime!

AD

The Digestive System

The food we eat has to be processed so we can get the nutrients out of it so we can keep our body healthy. This is how the digestive system does this: First you bite the food, the tongue and the teeth chew it.Then it goes through the stomach and it breaks down and churns the food. Then it goes through the small intestines which squeezes it along and absorbs the nutrients in to the body. Then in to the large intestines. The waste is pushed out when you use the toilet.

Interesting facts
Did you know if your small intestines were uncoiled they would be as long as a bus!

JS

The Circulatory System

The circulatory system is one of the important and fascinating systems of your body. The system takes blood around the body. It is controlled by the heart. The reason you need blood going around your body is because it carries oxygen and nutrients around. The steps of the circulatory system are: The blood enters your heart, then it goes to the right atrium. After that it will travel to the right ventricle, then it is pumped to the lungs, the lungs will add oxygen, it goes back to the heart and it enters the left ventricle, and the blood is pumped to the body, following that it returns to the heart. It is all used to move blood around your body. The veins and arteries carry it.

DID YOU KNOW...
  • If all your blood vessels were laid end to end they would circle the wold twice.

  • The average heart beats 70 times a minute.
